While the crows
watched
And the bugs crawled

Slippery Leaves
All over me
In the cold
Where it was dark
And the mud thick
Heavy- like cement
Dragged under a tree
By a swamp or was it a
creek
Screaming trees
In the Haunted
nights
Covering something
still alive
Slippery Leaves

The only thing they
could see
Where the eyes that
gazed from underneath

It was so cold
